1st Birthday Party
The Mayor of Test Valley was on hand to cut our cake at our first birthday celebrations recently.
We are proud to have welcomed more than 50 residents at our home since we opened our doors a year ago.
Cllr Carl Borg Neal, accompanied by his consort Maria Borg Neal, cut the cake with our Home Manager Kay Kelly. The cake was baked in the shape of the Harrier famous jet fighter, where our home gets its name, by our wonderful Chef - James Blight.
James and the kitchen team also laid on a buffet and refreshments for residents and guests followed by music from Andover-based singer Vicki Parkinson who charmed all with her soulful renditions of Vera Lynn and other well-known classics from the 1940's era. Our staff members even dressed up in Army gear and other costumes from the period!
Our Home Manager, Kay Kelly said: We'd like to thank all our guests for coming to Harrier Grange and helping us celebrate our first birthday in the town. It was a fantastic day with lovely food and fabulous music from Vicki. The residents always enjoy a visit from The Mayor and we'd like to thank him and Maria for taking the time to visit us and cut James' fabulous Harrier cake. Everyone had a great time."
