A Happy Easter, With Egg-citing Times Ahead

easter celebrations

Harrier Grange Care Home has been abuzz with excitement and activity as we welcomed the joyous Easter season with open arms! The month kicked off with a delightful Easter Egg Hunt, where residents, families, and staff came together to enjoy the festivities. Adding a personal touch, our creative residents crafted charming Easter bonnets, infusing the atmosphere with creativity and warmth.

But the fun doesn't end there! Our calendar is packed with a plethora of activities and exciting projects that are already underway. Among the highlights is the commencement of work on a brand-new balcony garden, specially designed for our dementia community. This serene space promises to provide residents with a tranquil retreat and an opportunity to connect with nature. Additionally, we have several other thrilling projects in the pipeline, all aimed at enhancing the well-being and experiences of our residents.

As we look forward to Dementia Action Week from May 13th to 19th, 2024, we are thrilled to announce the launch of two special initiatives for our dementia community. Firstly, the development of a serene balcony garden on our top floor offers a peaceful oasis for relaxation and contemplation. Secondly, the creation of a state-of-the-art sensory room, designed to provide sensory stimulation and promote a sense of calm and comfort. These projects underscore our commitment to creating a supportive and enriching environment for all our residents.

We extend a warm invitation to families to join us for the grand opening of these initiatives on Friday, May 17th, at 3:00 PM. During the event, we will unveil the balcony garden, showcase the sensory room, and outline our future plans for further enriching the lives of our dementia community members. As an added bonus, we'll be hosting an exciting raffle with the chance to win a GIANT teddy bear, adding an extra layer of excitement to the festivities.

Easter served as a wonderful opportunity for residents to connect with both our staff's families and their own, fostering a beautiful sense of community spirit among all involved. As we gear up for Dementia Action Week, our focus remains on planning initiatives that will significantly enhance the quality of life for our dementia community. We are dedicated to ensuring that every aspect of our care promotes comfort, engagement, and fulfilment for our residents. Stay tuned for more updates on our journey of enriching lives here at Harrier Grange Care Home!
