Brewing Bonds: Residents Enjoy a Self-Made Tea Party

In June, our residents at Harrier Grange Care Home had the pleasure of participating in a delightful cooking club organised by our activities team. They enthusiastically prepared cucumber sandwiches, decorated cupcakes, and indulged in chocolate-dipped strawberries. The highlight of this culinary adventure was a charming outdoor tea party, where residents gathered to savour their delicious creations amidst the beautiful surroundings of our home.

The purpose of this activity was to promote meaningful engagement among our residents by offering an experience reminiscent of home. By participating in familiar activities like preparing food and enjoying a tea party, residents were able to feel a sense of independence and accomplishment, which contributes significantly to their overall wellbeing.

This activity not only benefited our residents by enhancing their feelings of independence and accomplishment but also created a sense of community within our home. It provided an opportunity for social interaction and enjoyment, creating lasting memories for our residents and strengthening the bonds among them.
