Celebrating the Queen’s Jubilee with a Lunch
Like those across England, the staff and residents of Harrier Grange have also been joining in and celebrating the Queen's Platinum Jubilee.
Over the June Bank Holiday, we pulled out all the stops to celebrate The Queen as she became the first British Monarch to celebrate a Platinum Jubilee after 70 years of service. The Queen has ruled for longer than any other Monarch in British history, becoming a much loved and respected figure within our community and across the globe.
Residents gathered in our dining room to enjoy a three-course meal and wore British flag hats and bow ties to get into the spirit of the jubilee.
We all thoroughly enjoyed being a part of such a historical moment and marked the occasion with a special three-course lunch and raised a toast in honour.
The menu included a selection of finger sandwiches, homemade sausage rolls and mini quiches to start. For main residents enjoyed a classic BBQ with burgers, sausages and chicken with a selection of sides. To finish, our chef whipped up a delicious Platinum Pudding and Fresh Fruit Salad which ended the meal perfectly.
We thoroughly enjoyed getting involved and celebrating Her Majesty’s historic reign. If you would like to know more about the activities programme we provide every week for our residents, get in touch with our friendly team who will be happy to answer any questions you may have.
