Celebrating Valentines Day with a Special Menu

Love was in the air this Valentine's Day at Harrier Grange. Our home was beautifully decorated with red hearts and other Valentine's Day themed decorations, which certainly brightened the home up and brought a smile to everyone's faces.

At Harrier Grange, we feel it is important to celebrate all occasions big and small, to continue with our resident's previous traditions, and to give them something to always look forward to. This year, the staff decided to treat the couples of our home to a special valentine's meal, with a dedicated menu created by our in-house kitchen team. The Valentine's menu consisted of a choice of two tasty main meals, dessert, and an alcoholic beverage.

Loved ones visited their other halves who are staying at Harrier Grange and had the meal in the privacy of their own rooms. A single rose was given from one to the other as a sign of their love.

Susie, wife of Keith enjoyed spending time with her husband and a delicious meal. “Thank you so much for such a lovely Valentine’s Day Lunch today - it was so kind of you and your staff to arrange it for us. We both really appreciated it - such a nice gesture with a rose and some Prosecco too! So pleased, Keith was well enough to enjoy it. Please thank everyone on our behalf Best Wishes, Susie”.

Moments like this provides residents with the opportunity to use their creative side by creating decorations to display around the home and feel a sense of achievement with their design. Our Activity Coordinators also enjoy coming up with themed activities for residents to partake in during the week. We can't wait to decorate our home for the next occasion.
