Getting Crafty for National Dog Day

crafting at a carehome

On Friday 26th of August, we celebrated National Dog Day here at Harrier Grange.

We thought it was only appropriate to incorporate a dog-themed arts & crafts session. Residents and staff worked together to create miniature 3D dogs made of cardboard.

It was a great activity for residents to reminisce about their past pets and talk about what they loved most about their beloved pooches.

Residents were delighted with their finished creations and were keen to display their googly-eyed dogs in their rooms.

Celebrating national days and holidays is the perfect excuse to have a fantastic time partaking in fun activities, enjoy delicious food and drink and decorate the home. We work hard to ensure there is always something that both residents and staff can look forward to.

Our team of Activity Coordinators plan a weekly activities schedule that consists of a range of in-house activities such as arts & crafts, baking, singing exercise and games as well as trips out to the local town.

To find out more about what we get up to at Harrier Grange, or if would like to talk to one of our staff about the care services we provide, do not hesitate to get in touch today and a member of the team will be delighted to provide their assistance.
