Harrier Grange Says Thank You to Our Nurses
On the 12th of May, we celebrated International Nurses Day at Harrier Grange. It was a chance for us all to say a big thank you and dedicate a day to all our wonderful nurses who work so hard to look after the residents. The residents all joined together in the morning to bake some sweet treats and cake to give to the nurses later that day.
In the afternoon we learnt all about what it's like to be a nurse with some films on nursing through the ages, from Florence Nightingale, through 2 world wars and the birth of the NHS, to today, facing a global pandemic. We will then has a discussion with our nurses and the residents asked about what it’s been like to be a nurse, the highs, and the lows.
In the photo above we have (left to right) Theresa, Smitha and Ananti who have a wealth of experience and knowledge between them and we are very lucky to have them and all our nurses working here at Harrier Grange. All of our residents got together to sign a card for our nurses, to really show them how much they mean to them.
At Harrier Grange, we really do recognise the enormous amount of hard work and dedication that goes into being a nurse. We understand the sacrifices and risks that all of our team members make on a daily basis, and we want nothing more than to take the opportunity to say "thank you". Below, you can see more of our incredible team members celebrating National Nurses Day.
The Harrier Grange family simply wouldn't be complete without our fantastic nursing team, and we're so thankful to each and every one of them. If you'd like to find out more about our nursing care, or any of the other types of care we offer to our residents, please don't hesitate to reach out to us.
