Keeping Young with Exercise

Residents in Exercising Class

In October, the residents of Harrier Grange Care Home participated in an enjoyable session of armchair exercises accompanied by feel-good music to get their bodies stimulated. It wasn't long before fingers and toes were starting to wiggle, followed shortly by arms and legs!

The mood of our residents was so buoyant after the class that they were raring to go with the next activity, after a quick tea break first though!

Keeping active through exercise is vital to aid mobility and motor skills which offers huge mental and physical benefits to our residents, as well as improving sleep, social interaction, and self-esteem. Our Activities Coordinators go above and beyond ensuring that each and every day offers a wide choice of activities for the residents to join in, from making use of the many facilities that Harrier Grange has to offer to partake in group exercises.

At Harrier Grange Care Home we recognise the importance of our residents maintaining a regular fitness regime, and the impact it has on their lives by improving the mobility of our residents and improving their overall fitness. Our fitness activities are also a great way for our residents to build new relationships by socialising with one another.

Our dedicated members of staff are always seeking new ways for our residents to stay active, whether it is taking leisurely walks around the area of Andover, or participating in fitness classes there are many ways to keep our residents fit and healthy.
If you would like to find out more regarding the activities we have to offer our residents at Harrier Grange Care Home, or the care options we have to provide. Then please feel free to get in touch, and we will be happy to help.
